Recently someone from the neighbourhood celebrated his birthday. Because of this he gave chocolat and new school bags to all our children.

And because the new school season started we got new school uniforms. Aren’t they nice?

The children in our hostel and some children from around got shoe boxes with presents inside. Thanks to everybody around the world who made boxes like this. We are shure that you made children happy with it.

Recently people from St. Look church came to visit us. They brought clothing and cakes for the children.

The year 2011 has already finished.
We are looking back to this year with a grateful heart.
It was a year in which the eight children in our hostel could grow physical and spiritual.
The youngest one, Samiksha, came to our hostel not so long ago and went to the first class of primary school.
The two oldest ones, Nikhil and Rohan, will soon reach the age that they leave school and start their own life’s outside the hostel. These two boys would like to start a new study, we are busy finding sponsors for them.
Beside that we are still looking for a bigger building or a second building to make it possible to help more children in the near future.
All together a lot of new developments in this new just started year.
Under mentioned a few football pictures made in December 2011. Some people came to Pune and gave our boys football clothing and lessons.

Three of our boys participated in a marathon race.

After finishing they could keep the shirts and caps.
Of course they are very proud to have fulfilled this.

All our children have a health card now for the nearby hospital.

So in case of need we don’t have to go now to the state hospital in the centre of Pune.

Last month we had a very nice Christmas time in our hostel.

We decorated the house.

We even had a christmas tree in the living room.

Some of the children are missing on these pictures but they all got new clothing and a christmas present.

Shubham won the third price in an archery contest. It was even written in the newspaper, he is very proud of it.

At the moment we make all kind of crafts, it’s nice to do and we hope that some people will buy it. In this way we hope to get some extra money that we can use for buying the things that we need. If you are interested please contact us.

It is rain season now in India. We like it to play in the water, special the places outside the city in nature are very nice. One day we went there for a picnic.

Holiday time is over now.
The children had a nice time.
In one of the last weeks they painted a big tree on the wall in the living room and wrote some words around it.

Beside that we did a lot of sports like playing cricket and football.

And now it is time for going back to school in our new school uniforms.

Because of school holiday a friend of Babu offered the children a chinese party.
Together we had a nice time with nice food and a lot of fun.

When Ashwini came into our hostel she did not have any clothes or slippers.

Recently somebody bought a lot of clothing and a pair of slippers for her. Look at these pictures, do you recognize her? She has a total new look now!

Many thanks to the person who gave this wonderful present to her and to our Heavenly Father who is always taking care of us.

Shusma is 22 years old.
She is living on the streets of Pune with her two daughters, three and one year old.
After a difficult marriage she wants to make a new start in her life.
It is difficult to make this new start, because she needs to find a job for earning money, but who will take care of the children when she works? We are looking now for a place where she can bring those kids during the day. When she finds a job she will have money for renting a place to live and buying food for herself and her children. We ask you to pray for this situation. We hope that soon there will be a solution and a place for her to live, just now when the rain season is coming.

In the part of Pimpri where Bird’s Nest Society is established are 18 old apartment blocks were people are living. Many children are living here in a very unhealthy environment. We talked with people living here and started with our hostel children to clean those 18 appartment blocks. The first one is finished now, so there are 17 more blocks to clean. We do it with pleasure, we want to be a blessing and a helping hand for the people around us.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

After finishing the first block there was an icecream party for the people who helped us.

The beginning of the school holiday and the high temperature are good reasons to go swimming and have picnic afterwards.

It is April now, the schoolyear in India  will end soon.

On this pictures you see the school where our children are going.

It’s a big building with many class rooms, they even have a big computer room.

Every year the school children have to do an examination, at this moment they are busy with it. All the children in our hostel do their best in school to be a good student. They are happy to go to school and prepare their selves for a better future.
